A technological school with 21 classes and 15 science and technology rooms. The plan is intended to replace an existing school located in an education and sports complex planned for the outskirts of the village of Kfar Manda. According to a new detailed plan to expand the town, the complex will become a central focus and serve as a seam point between the two neighborhoods.
The architectural design fits into the existing levels of the complex and creates a dynamic movement system that serves the entire complex as one. The design was influenced by the traditional patio in Arabic architecture to create separation and privacy between the school spaces and the existing dense urban fabric. The inner central courtyard, around which all classrooms and functional annex rooms are planned, emphasizes the innovative approach the school will take. The unique materiality and abstract forms of the facades support this idea and enhance the innovative effect.
The school space is designed in a dynamic and fluid manner. The central patio, around which the spaces are arranged, provides both open and private areas for the user. It was important to create internal shared and private spaces through bubbles of space that separate the classrooms and technology rooms, allowing the flow of air, natural light, movement, and viewpoints throughout the school.
The architectural language and dynamic design were developed through an in-depth investigation of the functions and needs of an innovative technological school, combined with an analysis of climate, air and water flow, and natural light directions. The same architectural thought that was applied to the building's design is also expressed in the development of the courtyards, balconies, and roof, using green construction
