Fureidis School for Creativity and Innovation

An innovative elementary school located in the eastern part of Fureidis village, within a green mountainous setting. The design integrates with and utilizes the natural surroundings by bringing greenery into the interior spaces through the amorphous form of the four main wings.

The administration building is located at the intersection of the three wings. It contains shared school functions, such as teachers’ lounges, teachers’ back-office workrooms, a library, a shared auditorium open to all the surrounding wings, which serves as a circulation system between the floors, and provides a free stage for students and innovative programs.

The building was designed on the basis of a unique and innovative pedagogical program written by the Council's Education Department, covering three pedagogical areas – nature, sports, and technology. Each area of activity is concentrated on the wing that meets the needs of the specific field for that wing. Consequently, the school building supports and enables dynamism in the internal and external spaces and allows connections between the different types of spaces through mobile separation partitions
